A P Sales Corporation is located at 71/B, Netaji Subhas Road. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know it’s where all the hardware and industrial stuff happens. It’s a noisy street with trucks loading and unloading all the time. Our shop is right in the thick of it. We have racks and racks of different parts and tools. Half the time, I’m searching through the back for some specific nut or bolt that a customer needs. It’s dusty work. Your hands stay a bit dirty most of the day. We don’t have a fancy display window. People just walk in, tell us what they’re looking for, and we find it for them. It’s been this way for years. We get the regulars who come in every week for their supplies. We share a tea, talk about the weather or the traffic, and then get back to it. The walls are covered in calendars from years ago and old posters of tools. It’s not pretty but it’s practical. We keep track of everything in big books and on the computer when it feels like working. It’s a lot of lifting and moving boxes. By the time we close up, we’re usually pretty tired. But it’s good to be part of the hustle and bustle on Netaji Subhas Road.
