A B M School

You can find us over at 365 Block K in New Alipore. It’s a fairly quiet corner of the neighborhood compared to the main roads, which helps when the kids are trying to concentrate. The school is just a regular building where we do our thing every day. We’ve got the usual setup with classrooms and a small area for the staff to sit. Sometimes the humidity in New Alipur makes everything feel a bit slow, but the school day starts early regardless. We don't go in for big advertisements or anything like that. People in the block know where we are. Usually, the morning starts with the sound of school buses and parents on scooters. It’s a lot of work keeping a school running in this city. There’s always a window that won't close or a desk that needs a bit of glue. We just deal with those things as they come up. The teachers here aren't robots; they’re just local people who know their subjects and want to get through the syllabus. We have students who have grown up right here in these streets. It feels like a small community inside the building. We focus on the books and the lessons without making a big deal out of it. It’s just ABM School, a place where people come to learn and then go home to their families in the evening.
