A B Furnishings Pvt Ltd (Le Chattel)

Our place is tucked away in Salt Lake City, over at Fe-13 in Sector 3. If you know the area, it's fairly quiet compared to the rest of the city, which we quite like. We’ve been operating A B Furnishings, or Le Chattel as some people know it, from this spot for a good while. Inside, it’s mostly rolls of fabric, curtain samples, and different types of upholstery materials scattered around. It’s not a giant warehouse, so it feels more like a shop where you can actually sit down and look at patterns without being rushed. The light comes in through the front windows in the afternoon and hits the fabric swatches, which helps when people are trying to match colors for their homes. We have a small staff here, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. Sometimes we get busy with several families all looking at catalogs at once, and the tea starts flowing. We aren't big on flashy advertisements or corporate talk. We just show people what we have in stock and tell them how long it’ll take to get things ready. The monsoon can be a bit of a pain when we’re trying to move delicate fabrics without getting them damp, but we’ve gotten used to the routine. It’s a steady business, and we know many of the neighbors by name now since they’ve been coming to us for years. It is just a normal local shop.
