Urdu Highchool

This is the Urdu Highchool located in Shirol, in the Kolhapur district. We focus on teaching in the Urdu medium, which is important for the families in this part of the town. The school is situated in a regular neighborhood where people know each other. It’s not a very large building, but we use every bit of the space we have. Most of the students live within walking distance, though some come from a bit further away in Shirol. The day usually starts with the morning bell and the sound of students settling into their rooms. We have the standard curriculum, just taught in Urdu. The classrooms have the usual benches and boards. It can get a bit crowded when everyone is present. We don’t have a lot of extra space for things like a big garden, so the kids mostly hang out in the common areas during their breaks. The teachers are dedicated to their work and have been with us for a long time. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We focus on getting the students through their secondary education so they can move on to whatever is next. The 416103 area is home to us. It’s a simple school in this part of Kolhapur.
