Swamisamarth Snack Foods (Opc) Private Limited is our little business based in Kolhapur. We are specifically located in Shiroli at Sai Ganesh Colony, house number 4470. If you know the area, it’s a quiet residential spot which makes for a good place to work without too many distractions. Being an "OPC" means it’s mostly just one person running the show with some help. We focus on snacks because that’s what people love around here. Kolhapur has a very specific taste for spicy and crunchy things, so we try to stick to that local flavor. The kitchen and the packing area are kept very clean, though things get a bit dusty outside because of the road work. I spend most of my day checking the quality of the ingredients we buy from the local market. It’s not a huge factory with machines doing everything; there’s a lot of manual work involved in making sure the snacks are just right. We don't have a big budget for advertising, so we just rely on people liking what we make. The neighbors often smell when we are frying a fresh batch of snacks. It's a simple operation, really.
