Sukrut Exports

Our place is G-87 in the MIDC area of Gokul Shirgaon. It’s out where all the factories are. Sukrut Exports is what we call ourselves. We spend most of our time dealing with crates and shipping documents. The warehouse can get pretty cold in the winter and very dusty when the wind picks up across the industrial estate. We aren't really set up for visitors, but we get the odd delivery driver or inspector stopping by. It’s a practical space. We have a small office section with a few old computers and a printer that jams too often. We mostly handle things going overseas. It’s a lot of checking labels and making sure the numbers match up on the manifests. Sometimes the trucks are late and we have to wait around, drinking tea and talking about the weather. We’ve got a small crew who knows the routine inside out. It’s not glamorous work, but it pays the bills. We don't have a big sign out front or anything. People who need us usually know where we are. We just keep our heads down and get the shipments ready. The MIDC can be a lonely place at night, but during the day it’s full of life. We’ve been here a good while and plan to stay. It's just what we do every single day. We check the stock, pack it up, and move it out.
