Shwas Lifeline Hospital

Shwas Lifeline Hospital is located near Garpir, tucked right behind the big Civil Hospital. Being behind the main government building means we get a lot of people who want a slightly quieter place. The entrance is down a side street that can be easy to miss if you are driving too fast. It’s a functional building. We have the emergency room and some beds for staying over. The staff here has been together for a long time, so we work well together without needing to talk much. We see a lot of different cases every day. Some days it is just coughs and colds, other days it is more urgent things. The lobby has a small desk where you sign in. We don’t have fancy coffee machines or art on the walls. It is just a hospital for getting treated. We spend most of our time looking at charts and checking on the rooms. The back area gets a bit of shade in the afternoon which is nice. People usually find us because a neighbor told them or they saw the sign from the main road. It gets busy during the monsoon months with all the fevers going around. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a simple life running a hospital in this part of town. We are just here for whenever someone needs a doctor nearby.
