Prakash And Company

Our shop is tucked away in Udyamangar, specifically at Shop No. 8 behind the Parvati Multiplex. It’s a bit of a maze back here sometimes, near the Sai Service station, but once you find us, you’ll see we’re just a small operation. Prakash and Company has been in this spot for years. We handle all sorts of supplies and hardware bits. The shelves are pretty crowded, and it’s not always the most organized place, but we generally know where everything is kept. It’s mostly just us and a couple of helpers moving boxes around. The light in the back of the shop is a bit dim, so we have to use a torch sometimes to find the smaller items. Customers come in looking for specific parts for their projects, and we do what we can to help them out. It’s not a corporate showroom with air conditioning. It gets warm in the afternoons, especially in the summer. We keep the ledger on a wooden desk that’s seen better days. Some people find us because they’re already at the cinema or getting their car serviced nearby. We don’t do much talking unless it’s about the items we have in stock. It’s a steady life. We open early and close when the sun goes down. Most days are about checking inventory and making sure the shop stays decent enough for people to walk through. We just like running our own thing here without any fuss.
