Patil Sugar Cane Agro Private Limited is located at the home of Akaram Patil. We are at Plot Numbers 241 and 242, which is right near the Grampanchayat in Male. This is in the Hatkanangle area of Kolhapur. Since we are in Kolhapur, sugarcane is pretty much our whole life. The office is part of a residential area, so it feels very much like a family setup rather than a cold business office. You can hear the sounds of the village all day long while we work. We handle a lot of the agro needs for the local growers in the district. There’s always someone stopping by the house to ask a question or drop off some documents or just have a chat. It’s not a formal environment at all. We might be sitting on the porch or in the small office room we set up near the gate. The roads in Male are narrow, so big trucks have a bit of a hard time getting in sometimes. We’ve grown up around these fields, so we know the land around Hatkanangle very well. Akaram oversees most of the things, and we all pitch in where needed to get the job done. Sometimes the harvest season gets so busy we barely have time to eat or sleep. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where to find us near the Grampanchayat. It’s a simple way of living and working, focused on the soil and the crops.
