National Agencies

National Agencies is our family-run spot over on Shahupuri 1st Lane. We are right in the middle of Shahupuri, very close to the Gujarati School. You can always tell when it’s recess time because the whole lane fills with the noise of kids. We’ve been operating out of this same building for a long time now. It’s an old structure, nothing fancy at all, with high ceilings and heavy wooden doors that sometimes creak. We handle a lot of agency work and distribution for various goods, so there are always crates and boxes being moved around. The lane is quite narrow, which makes it a bit of a struggle when we have large deliveries arriving. We’ve known the other families on 1st Lane for decades. My father started this business years ago, and I took over after I finished my schooling. We don't use fancy computers for everything; a lot of our tracking is still done with pen and paper. It’s a lot of manual work and long hours some days. We usually drink tea with the other shop owners in the afternoons. It’s a comfortable routine that hasn't changed much over the years. We don't spend money on marketing or big banners. People in the trade know where to find us. It’s just a honest, hardworking environment. We focus on getting things done and keeping our inventory straight.
