Kisan Irrigation Limited

Out here across from the old Deccan Mill in Ichalkaranji, things stay pretty busy with all the irrigation stuff coming and going. The office for Kisan Irrigation Limited is right by Balaji Stone Polishing Works, so there is always the sound of machinery and trucks moving around the yard. Most of the guys here spend their time checking on pipes and fittings or talking to farmers who come in needing a way to get water to their fields more easily. It’s a dusty spot, especially in the summer months when the wind kicks up from the road, but we’re used to it. The building isn't much to look at, just a practical place where we can keep the stock organized and handle the phone calls that never seem to stop. Sometimes we have to head out to the farms to see why a pump isn't working or if the lines are clogged up with silt. Dealing with water systems is a bit messy and there is always something leaking or needing a new seal, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. We keep a stash of spare parts in the back room because you never know when someone will show up with a broken valve at six in the evening. It’s a lot of manual labor and figuring things out on the fly. We don't have a fancy showroom, just a counter and some chairs.
