Keswani Fracture & Accident Hospital sits on Gandhi Nagar Road in Uchagaon. It is a busy little corner of the world. We spend a lot of time looking at X-rays and putting on casts. Most of the people who come to see us have had some kind of tumble or a mishap on the road. It isn't a fun reason to visit a hospital, but we try to make it as smooth as possible. The building is at 96/3-2, which is easy to spot if you are driving through Uchagaon. We have seen plenty of broken bones over the years. Sometimes it is a kid who fell off a bike or an older person who slipped in the kitchen. We don't have much time for fluff or fancy talk. We just focus on getting the bone set and making sure the pain is managed. The waiting room has old magazines and hard chairs, but it does the job. My coworkers and I have a routine down, from checking people in to making sure the doctors have what they need. It gets noisy when the traffic picks up outside, but we are used to it by now. We are just a local hospital helping folks get back on their feet after an accident. It is physical work and some days are long, but this is where we belong.
