Fatale Ola Masala Kendra

Fatale Ola Masala Kendra is our small shop at Plot No. 12/230 in Ichalkaranji. We are right on Kolhapur Road, not too far from Modern High School. It is a good spot because there are always people around, especially when school lets out. We specialize in wet masalas, which is what "ola masala" means around here. Our shop always smells very strongly of garlic, ginger, and various spices being ground up. It’s a small space, and we are usually busy grinding the ingredients fresh for whoever walks in. We don't use a lot of fancy packaging; most people just bring their own containers or we use simple bags. It's a very hands-on process and my hands usually stay stained from the turmeric and spices. We’ve been doing this for years, and the locals know to come to us when they need the base for their cooking. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us working the grinders and talking to the customers. It’s a simple life, but we like being a part of the daily meals people in Ichalkaranji cook. The road outside can get very loud with traffic, but inside we just focus on the smell of the spices and the sound of the machines. We aren't trying to change the world, just making good masala for our neighbors. It's what we do every day.
