We are located in Ichalkarnji, in the Muktsainik Society area. The address is Hno.334/1 in Ward No. 11. It is at Suresh Pandurang Patil’s place. Ichalkarnji is very well known for its textile work, and we serve many of the families who live and work in the mills here. We are a small credit Nidhi. Most of our days involve us sitting with members and going over their passbooks or explaining their savings. It is a simple and quiet life for us. We do not have fancy uniforms or big neon signs. People in Kolhapur really appreciate honesty and plain talk, so we just give them that. The 416115 area is where we have always operated. We know these streets very well. We are not trying to change the world, we are just trying to help the guy down the street save enough for his daughter’s wedding or maybe a new tool for his work. We drink tea, talk about the weather, and get the banking work done. It is a bit old-fashioned, maybe. We still like to write things down in big books. It feels more real and permanent that way. We are just a bunch of local people working for other local people. That is really the long and short of it.
