Desai Clinic

Desai Clinic is on the main road in Vadgaon, Kolhapur. It is a very local kind of place. Vadgaon is the type of area where everyone kind of knows where everything is already. The clinic is right there where the main activity happens. We have a simple door and a small sign out front. Inside, it’s just a basic clinic setup. We have a desk for the person who talks to you when you first come in, and then the doctor’s room. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it doesn't affect the work we do. We see people for all kinds of general health things. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk, and other days the waiting room is full and we are running around. The street outside is usually busy with people going to the market or headed to work. We get a lot of natural light in the morning through the front window. We’ve been here for quite some time now, so we are a familiar sight on the road. It’s not a place with a lot of high-tech gadgets everywhere. We just use what we need to take care of the people who walk in. It’s an honest, small-town clinic. We close up for lunch usually and then open back up in the late afternoon. That’s the rhythm here. We have a small fan that rattles a bit in the corner, but it keeps the air moving.
