Chidam Clinic

Chidam Clinic is located at number 12, Mayuresh building in Samrat Nagar. It’s a local clinic through and through. We’ve been in Samrat Nagar long enough to see the neighborhood grow and change, but the clinic stays pretty much the same. It’s tucked away in the building, and you have to know where you’re going to find us, but most of the locals have the path memorized. The waiting room isn’t very big, so on busy mornings, people sometimes end up chatting out in the hallway. It’s a friendly enough atmosphere, though. We don’t have a big reception desk with computers and screens everywhere. It’s mostly just us and our notebooks, keeping track of who needs what. The doctor has a small room in the back where most of the talking happens. We see a lot of the same faces month after month, which makes the work feel more personal. It’s not like a big city hospital where you’re just a number. Here, we ask about your family and how things are going at home. The walls are lined with a few old health posters, and the fans overhead hum all day long. We just focus on providing a place where people can come when they don't feel well without it being a big, scary ordeal. It’s a simple operation, run by people who live right nearby and care about the neighborhood.
