Chaitanya Hospital

Our hospital is right over by the Kolhapur Railway Station, in the Pan Mala area. Being so close to the station means Chaitanya Hospital is usually surrounded by a lot of noise and people moving around. You can hear the trains throughout the day, which is something we have just gotten used to. We set up here because it is a spot that anyone can reach, whether they live in the city or are coming in from a nearby village. The hospital is not some grand, modern tower. It is a functional building where we handle the daily reality of sickness and recovery. Most of our time is spent in the hallways, moving between rooms and talking to families about their concerns. It gets particularly busy when the big trains arrive and the whole station area picks up pace. We have had this place for years, so the floors have some wear and tear, but everything works the way it should. We do not go in for big advertisements or promotional talk. We just start our shifts, look at the charts, and do the work that needs doing. If someone has an emergency near the tracks, they usually end up here. The staff are mostly local folks who do not make a fuss about their jobs. We just provide a place for people to get care in Kolhapur without any unnecessary complications.
