Akar Machinery Corporation

Our shop, Akar Machinery Corporation, is situated at Plot No. G-105 in the M.I.D.C. area of Gokul Shirgaon. Being in an M.I.D.C. zone means we are surrounded by other workshops and factories, so there is always a lot of activity on the road. It can be quite dusty, especially when the wind picks up across the open plots. We spend our time working with various types of machinery. The floor is usually busy with people moving parts around or tinkering with a new setup. It’s not the kind of place where things stay clean for long. We have a small office space for the administrative side of things, but most of the action happens out on the floor. We don’t go in for big speeches or polished presentations. If someone comes by, they’re usually here to talk about a specific machine or a part they need. We just speak plainly and get to the point. The tea here is strong and we drink a lot of it to keep going through the shifts. Gokul Shirgaon is a bit away from the main city center, so it’s got its own quiet times in the late evening once the factories start closing up. We’ve been here long enough to know the rhythms of the place. It’s just where we do our work and earn our living, plain and simple.
