We've been here in Kagal at Mali Galli for a while now. It's just us over at Aakash Garment Textile Digital Printing Foundation. People around Kolhapur know the spot, tucked in near Mohachin Shoukat Mujawar's place. We mostly handle digital printing on fabrics. It’s a messy job sometimes but it keeps us busy. The machines run a lot. We don't have a big fancy office, just the workspace on C No 256/4. Dealing with garments means there is always lint everywhere and the ink smells a certain way, but you get used to it. Sometimes the power goes out or things slow down but we just keep at it. It’s not a huge operation, just a few of us making sure the prints look okay on the cloth. We see a lot of different patterns coming through. It's interesting how many people need things printed these days. We don't do much advertising, mostly people just find us or hear about the foundation from someone else in the textile trade. Life in Kagal is quiet usually, but the work stays steady. The streets here in Mali Galli can get a bit crowded when the trucks come in, but that's just part of the day. We spend a lot of time checking the colors and making sure the digital setup is running right. It takes patience to get the alignment just right on the fabric pieces. We just try to get the orders done and out the door so they can get to wherever they're going next. Nothing too complicated about it.
