Our place is down by the Railway Extension in Ashok Nagar. If you are coming from the Malur Railway Station, we are pretty easy to find on Masthi Main Road. It’s a lot of heavy lifting here. Steel is not light, and we spend most of our mornings moving pipes and sheets around so we can get to what a customer wants. The yard gets a bit messy when a big shipment comes in, but we clear it out eventually. We aren't big on fancy offices or anything like that. There is a small desk where we handle the bills, but most of the work happens outside in the open air. It gets hot in the afternoons, especially with all that metal reflecting the sun. We know the neighbors pretty well since we have been in Malur for some time. Dealing with steel means your hands stay dirty most of the day, but that is just how it is. We talk to truck drivers and local builders all day long. Sometimes the trains going by make it hard to hear, but you get used to the noise after a week or two. We just try to get the orders right and load the trucks as fast as we can without making too many mistakes. It is basic work, but it keeps us busy from morning until the sun starts going down and we lock up the gates for the night. We've been here long enough to see the station change.
