Muniraja Plastics

Our place is at 609 in Bavanahalli, which is out toward Malur. It is a bit of a drive from the main city, so it is quieter here. Muniraja Plastics is basically a large shed filled with all kinds of plastic goods. We have everything from buckets to pipes stacked up to the ceiling. It can get very hot inside during April and May, so we try to do the heavy moving in the early morning. The floor is just swept dirt in some places and cracked concrete in others. We have a small table where we keep the ledger and a bottle of ink. Most of the people who work here live nearby in Bavanahalli. We walk to work and bring our lunch in steel boxes. There is a big mango tree near the entrance where we sit for our breaks. The plastic has a specific smell, especially when the sun hits the crates. It is not a high-tech operation. We just count the items by hand and load them onto the small tempos that come by. Sometimes we lose track of the time because it is so steady and repetitive. We have been at this address for a while now and we don't plan on moving. It is a good spot for what we do. We just keep the gates open and handle whatever comes our way each day.
