You can find us at Mathrushree Nilaya, right across from the Deccan Hospital in Chintamani. It is the house of S/O B.K. Joshi, and that is where we run the local operations for the company. Kolar is a good place to be, even if it is quite a distance from the actual steel plant over in Hazira. We act as a point of contact for this specific part of Karnataka. The office is really just a part of the building that has been converted into a workspace. It has a very local, homey feel to it, and the neighbors are all people we have known for many years. We do not have a big corporate lobby or a security desk. You just walk up to the door and see who is inside. Mostly it is just us handling letters, local logistics, and keeping track of the regional side of the business. It is a quiet spot for the most part, except for when the hospital across the street gets busy with patients. We spend our days mostly on the computer or talking to people who stop by with various questions. It is not a high-pressure environment like the production lines, but we still have plenty to do to keep things running smoothly. The weather in this part of the state is usually manageable most of the year. We are just a small piece of a much larger puzzle, doing our bit from this corner of Chintamani. It is just a simple way to work.
