Our Ernst Young location is in Kolar, specifically on the Anjeneya Swamy Temple Road near the Aswatha Katte. It is a very local spot and easy to find once you are near Karanji Katte. The office is part of the building belonging to S O Narayana Swamy M. It is a bit different from the big city offices in Bangalore. Here, things move at a slightly slower pace, and we know almost everyone who walks by the front door. The temple nearby means there is often some music or chanting in the background, which is quite nice actually. We have a modest setup inside with just the essentials for our daily work. It gets quite dusty being so close to the road, so we are always wiping down the desks. There is a small space in the back where we keep our bags and lunch boxes. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just what is necessary to get the job done. The people working here are all from around the area, so we talk about local news while we have our tea. It is a very straightforward, no-nonsense kind of place. We don't put on any acts or try to look bigger than we are. It is just us doing our jobs in a familiar neighborhood. We usually close up shop as the evening prayers start and the street gets busier with people heading to the temple. It is a solid place to work.
