We are located out in Kolar, specifically in the Amaravathi Layout area of Bangarpet. Our office is in a building called Hema Chandra Nilaya. It is a bit of a drive if you are coming from the main city of Bangalore, but it is much quieter out here which is nice for a change. We handle the logistics side of things for Caterpillar, which means we are constantly looking at schedules and tracking where parts and equipment are going across the country. The office is pretty basic with some computers and a lot of filing cabinets. We have a small team of people from the local area who work here, and we all know each other pretty well. The weather in Kolar is usually a bit better than the city, but it can get quite dry. Most of our days are spent coordinating with warehouses and making sure the trucks have the right paperwork before they head out. It is a lot of responsibility because people are waiting for these things to get their own jobs done. We don't have any fancy coffee machines or anything like that, just a local guy who brings us tea twice a day. It is a steady kind of work and we take pride in just doing it right every day. Being in Karnataka, we see a lot of different people coming through here and it makes the work interesting.
