Aitra Foundation

We are based over at Narendrapur, under the care of Hem Narayan Sahat. It is the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else’s business. Aitra Foundation is just a small group of us working out of this specific location. We do not have a big fancy office with glass doors or air conditioning. It is much more of a traditional setup like the other houses nearby. The post office is very close, which is handy for sending out our mail. Hem Narayan is a well-known name in this area, so people find our door quite easily. We spend our mornings checking on various things and seeing who might need some help. It could be someone needing a hand with a form or just some advice on a local issue. The building is a bit older, but it stays nice and cool even when the sun is hot. We have a few simple chairs for visitors to sit on. Sometimes we just sit outside under the shade of the trees when the weather is nice enough. We are not trying to be some big corporation. We just want to do some good work in Narendrapur. The road out front gets a bit dusty when the wind starts to blow. We keep our records in some old wooden cupboards. It is not a high-tech operation at all. That is how we like it here at the foundation.
