We are over here in Amlaiguri village, which is in the Kokrajhar district of Assam. Bijendra Brahma is the one looking after things here. Most of us just wanted to find a way to help out the neighbors and keep the local area going well. It's a quiet place, mostly trees and small farms. We don't have a big office or anything fancy, just a small spot where we meet up to talk about what needs doing. Sometimes we deal with local issues that pop up or just try to make the village a bit better for the families living around here. It started small because a few of us felt like we could be doing more than just sitting around. People around here know where to find us if they have something on their minds. It's not a complicated setup. We just try to stay busy and help where it makes sense. Sometimes the rain makes the roads a bit messy, but we still get together when we can. Working in a place like Kokrajhar means you know everyone by name pretty much. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just our little corner of Assam. There is always work to be done with the land or helping the younger folks find their way. We just take things one day at a time and see what happens next. It’s mostly about being good neighbors and staying useful to the people around us in Amlaiguri.
