Monchorgaon is where we are, right in the Kokrajhar area. If you know the road towards Haltugaon, you've probably passed near us. It’s a pretty green part of the world, and we like it that way. Bodoland Agro is really just a bunch of us focusing on organic stuff. We aren't doing anything flashy. Most days involve a lot of walking through the fields and talking to the local folks who have been farming this land for generations. The air here is better than the big cities, but the work is definitely harder. We don't use the big chemicals you see in the shops in town. It takes more time to weed by hand and manage the compost, but it feels right for the village. Sometimes the sun is really beating down on Monchorgaon, and we have to take breaks under the trees to discuss the next planting cycle. We aren't trying to be some huge national brand; we just want the food from our part of Kokrajhar to be clean. It’s a lot of paperwork sometimes, which none of us really likes, but it’s part of being a proper company. We’re just trying to make a living while looking after the soil. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from sunrise. You might see us around the P.O. area or moving stuff on the local tracks. We just do what needs doing every day.
