Parul Medical

Parul Medical is located in Kaimai, Kokrajhar, right near the Govt. School. It’s a very simple shop. We get a lot of noise from the school kids during their breaks, but we’ve gotten used to it. We mostly sell everyday medicines and things like bandages or cough syrups. Because we’re near the school, we also keep some basic first aid stuff that parents or teachers might need in a hurry. The shop is small and can get a bit crowded if more than three people are inside at once. We don't have fancy glass displays, just some basic wooden shelves we put up ourselves. We’re just local people running a small business. We know most of the families in Kaimai. If someone is sick and can’t come over, sometimes we find a way to get the medicine to them. We don't have a big sign, just enough so people know what we are. The weather here in Kokrajhar can be unpredictable, so we spend a lot of time making sure the roof doesn't leak on the stock. It’s a modest way to make a living, but it’s important for the village. We aren't trying to be the biggest medical store, just a reliable one for the people living nearby. We open up every morning and stay until the evening light fades. It’s a quiet, steady life here at Parul Medical.
