New Medical Clinic

Being out here in the East Garo Hills district is different from being in a big city. The clinic is set up to serve the local community who live nearby in the hills. It is a quiet place most of the time, except when the local markets are open. We see a lot of people who have walked a long way to get their check-ups. The air is fresher up here, and we like that. The clinic itself is simple. We have a few rooms for exams and a small desk where we keep the records. Everything is written down by hand usually. We know most of our patients by name because this is a small place. Sometimes the rain gets very heavy and it makes it hard for people to travel, so those days are slower. We use that time to organize the medicine shelves or just sit and have some tea. Life moves at a different pace in East Garo Hills. We don't have big neon signs or anything like that. People just know where we are. It is a basic setup but it works for what we need to do. We deal with coughs, scrapes, and regular health stuff every day. It feels good to be a part of the daily life of this district. Most of the staff grew up around here too, so we are all neighbors really. We just keep the doors open and see who comes in.
