Ameya Foods

At 356K in Peringottukara, we’ve got our little setup for Ameya Foods. It’s a quiet place, not like the big cities, and we prefer it that way. We spend our time working with food, mostly keeping things moving from the producers to the people who buy from us. The building itself is nothing special to look at, just a sturdy place that keeps the rain out. We have a few rooms for storage and one small office where the computer sits. Most of the day is spent on our feet. We get deliveries early in the morning when the air is still a bit cool. Sometimes the birds on the roof make more noise than we do. We don’t have a big mission statement or anything like that on the walls. We just want to make sure the food is good and the orders are correct. If something goes wrong, we just talk it through and fix it. It’s a small team, so everyone knows how to do a bit of everything. We drink a lot of coffee while we wait for the transporters to show up. The road outside isn't very wide, so we have to be careful when we’re loading the vans. It’s a steady life, and we’ve been doing it this way for years. We aren't looking to change much or grow into some giant company. We just keep our heads down and work.
