UMA SHREE CONSTRUCTION (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED is based in Itkhori. We operate out of the place belonging to Ramdew Dangi, the son of Rewa Mahto. It is a small, one-person company for the most part, which is why it is an OPC. Itkhori is a place with a lot of character, and working here means we are very connected to the local area. We do not have a big headquarters or a fleet of fancy trucks. We just have a simple setup and a lot of determination to get things built. Most of our work is local construction, from small residential tasks to slightly bigger projects. Being in a place like Itkhori requires a lot of patience. Sometimes you have to wait for materials to come in from the bigger towns, and you have to work around the local agricultural cycles. We do not use any fancy language to describe our business. We just lay bricks, mix cement, and try to make sure everything is level. It is a very hands-on job. I spend a lot of time talking to the workers and making sure everyone knows what they are doing for the day. Things do not always go according to plan, and we have our share of rainy days where we cannot do much, but we keep going. We are just a small part of the local community, trying to do our part and earn a living through honest building work in this part of Jharkhand.
