The road out here gets pretty dusty when the big trucks go by but we are used to it. We spend most of our time inside the mill making sure the equipment is running like it should. Some days are louder than others depending on what we are processing at the time. It’s a local operation and most of the guys working here live nearby in the area. We don’t bother with anything fancy because it is not that kind of business. The office is just a desk with too many papers on it and a couple of chairs. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for deliveries to show up or get loaded onto the trucks. Domchanch is a quiet enough place except for the traffic on the main road. We keep our own schedule and try to get home before it gets too dark outside. The walls could use a new coat of paint maybe but that doesn’t change the work we do.
