Jenkul Estate

Our place, Jenkul Estate, is located at 4-195 in Thyagaraj Colony, right near the K.R.C Circle in Shanivarasante. Being in Kodagu, we are surrounded by a lot of greenery and the weather is usually quite nice, though the monsoon can be really heavy and lasts a long time. We don't really do the whole corporate thing here. It’s an estate, so things move at a bit of a slower pace compared to the big cities. We deal with the land and whatever it produces or requires. Most people in the colony know where we are. We spend a lot of time outdoors, dealing with the daily chores that come with running an estate in this part of the country. It’s a lot of manual work, and things don't always go according to plan, especially when the weather turns bad. We have lived and worked in Shanivarasante for a long time, so we know the soil and the community pretty well. Visitors sometimes drop by the circle and find their way to us. We don't have a big marketing department or a fancy website. It's just us, the land, and the work that needs to get done every day. Whether it's fixing a fence or checking on the crops, there’s always something that needs attention. It’s a simple life, but it’s ours, and we just keep at it every day. There is always work to do and the seasons keep us busy.
