Our place is out at Hanchikad Estate, which is part of the Coorg area. If you’re looking for us, the mailing address is just PB No. 51. It’s a bit out of the way, but that’s kind of the point. Coorg Cliffs Plantation Villas and Resorts India Private Limited is run right from the plantation. We spend a lot of time outdoors, making sure the villas are in good shape and the plants are growing like they should. It’s not your typical office job with a view of a parking lot. Here, we see a lot of trees and sometimes a bit of mist. We aren't professional writers or anything, just people who live and work on this land. The estate has been around for a while, and we just try to keep things running smoothly for anyone who visits. It gets really quiet at night, which might bother some people, but we like it. There’s always something to fix, whether it’s a leaky pipe or a fence that’s come loose. We don't have a fancy lobby with a fountain. It’s just the estate and us. Dealing with the weather is a big part of the job. When the monsoon hits, everything changes and the roads get muddy. We just adapt and keep going. It’s a simple life, focused on the plantation and the guests who find their way to us. We’ve been here long enough to know the bird sounds.
