Westend Eye Hospital

Our eye hospital is tucked away near Vimalalayam on Chittoor Road, right in the Kacheripady area. If you’re familiar with the neighborhood, you know it’s a pretty central spot. We spend most of our time looking into those machines that check your vision or helping someone pick out a pair of frames that don't look too ridiculous on them. It’s a lot of testing and re-testing to make sure we get the numbers right. The building itself is straightforward, nothing too flashy, just enough room for the exams and the waiting area. We see a lot of kids who need their first pair of glasses and older people who are struggling with cataracts or just blurry vision. It gets a bit bright in the exam rooms because of the lights we use, which can be a bit much for some people. We try to be patient because we know nobody really likes having things pointed at their eyes. The traffic on Chittoor Road can be a headache, so we usually hear about that from patients when they finally make it inside. It’s just us here, doing our jobs and trying to help folks see a bit clearer. We’ve been at this location for a bit, and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the street and the people who live nearby. It’s a quiet enough place once you get inside and away from the noise.
