Working in the Lulu International Shopping Mall at Edappally is a bit different because it is always crowded. We are on the ground floor at G-64. It is a watch shop. We see a lot of people every day. Some just look through the glass while they are walking to the food court. Others are looking for a specific watch they saw online or in a magazine. Being at Edappally means there is never really a quiet moment. We spend a lot of time adjusting metal straps or changing out batteries that have died. It is a nice enough place to spend the day. We have been here for a while now. The lighting in the mall is very bright and it stays cool because of the central air conditioning, which is good when it is hot outside. We handle several different brands of watches. People come in asking about repairs quite often. We try to give them a straight answer on how long it will take to fix. Sometimes specific parts take a while to arrive in the mail. It is a bit of a slow process. We aren't like those big corporate offices, even though we are in a huge mall. We just talk to people like normal. If someone wants to know how a clasp works, we show them. It gets loud on weekends with all the shoppers, so we just stay behind the counter and keep things organized.
