Stthomas Medical Mission Hospital

We are located inside the Marthoma Medical Mission over in Alappuzha. It is a pretty big place, but you can find the Stthomas Medical Mission Hospital section once you are inside the main gates. We have been a part of this local community for a long time. Alappuzha is a nice town to work in. The hospital grounds are usually quite busy. There are always people coming and going from the different medical departments at all hours. We have our own specific area with beds and treatment rooms. It is a lot of walking for the staff. The hallways are long and they always have that distinct hospital smell to them. We work in shifts, so there is usually someone around if you need something. It is not the newest building in the world, but it is sturdy and it gets the job done for the patients. We see all sorts of different cases here every day. Some people stay with us for a few days, while others are just here for an hour or two. The local tea stall just outside the gates is where most of us go when we get a break. It is a practical place. We don't have any fancy lobbies or big TVs. We just have the medical equipment and the rooms for the people who are sick. We manage all our own supplies and laundry. It gets humid here in the summer.
