Shajahan Doors & Hardwares

If you walk down Valiyakulam Road in Mullathuvalappu, you will find Shajahan Doors & Hardwares at number 49. We’ve been operating out of this same spot for a good while now. Our shop is mostly packed with different kinds of doors, hinges, locks, and all the small bits of hardware you need for a house. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we try to keep a lot of variety on the shelves for our customers. You might have to navigate around some stacked door frames to get to the counter. We don’t have a big team or a fancy computer system to track everything; we mostly just know what we have in stock by looking at the shelves. It’s a local shop where we know many of the contractors and homeowners by name. We don't do any flashy marketing. Most people just see our sign while they are driving or walking through the neighborhood. The street can get a bit narrow when delivery trucks come to drop off new stock, but we make it work. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living. We aren’t trying to be the biggest hardware store in the country, just a reliable one for the folks living around here. Some days the dust from the road gets into everything, but we just wipe it down and keep going. It is just a normal local business and we like it that way.
