S R Auto Parts

I've been here at S R Auto Parts for quite a while now. We are located at 11/2 on Jew Town Road in Mattancherry. It’s a busy part of town with all the history around, but we mostly just focus on the oily bits and pieces people need for their vehicles. People drop by looking for specific parts that broke down or just to ask what we have on the shelf. The shop isn't fancy. It's mostly just rows of boxes and that smell of metal and rubber that you get in places like this. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in here when a few customers show up at once. We try to keep things organized but sometimes a part ends up where it shouldn't be and we have to dig for it. It's a living. We see a lot of familiar faces from the neighborhood. Mattancherry has a way of keeping people around. If you are walking down Jew Town Road, you'll see us. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything like that. Word of mouth usually does the trick for us. I spend a lot of my day just checking stock or talking to someone about a fan belt or a gasket. It is simple work, really. Nothing too complicated about selling auto parts, as long as you know what fits what. We keep the doors open and just take it one day at a time here. It's a decent way to spend the day.
