Down at Swarna Corner on Avipuram Road is where Rajeev Agro Industries is located. Being in the heart of Valanjambalam means it’s always a busy spot with people coming and going. Our warehouse is a large, functional space where we keep all the agricultural supplies and tools. You won’t find any fancy setups here. Since people come in from the fields, there is usually a bit of dirt on the floor from their boots. With bags of seeds and fertilizers stacked up high, the smell of earth is a constant presence. Many of our customers have been coming to us for years since the business first started. Rather than using a computer system for our sales, we still write everything down in big ledger books. Keeping it simple just works better for us. To let in some air, we usually keep the back door open, which gives us a view of the busy street. We don't mind the stray dogs that sometimes come and sleep in the shade near the entrance. It’s a very local atmosphere where we spend a lot of time chatting with the farmers about the season. Advertising isn't something we do; people just seem to know where to find us. By focusing on the day’s tasks, we keep the business moving along steadily. It is hard work, but we like being part of the farming community here.
