Pvs Hospital

Pvs Hospital is located at Panackal House in the Kannamcode area. It’s part of the Adoor post office circle here in Pathanamthitta. The building used to be more of a residential style, hence the name Panackal House, but it’s been a hospital for a while now. When you walk in, you’ll notice it feels a bit more like a home than those cold, sterile places in the big cities. We have wooden doors that sometimes creak a little when the wind catches them. The hallways aren't huge, so you often run into someone you know from the village. Pathanamthitta gets a lot of rain, so we’re always making sure the mats at the entrance are dry so nobody slips. There’s a desk right at the front where the files are kept. We use a lot of paper here still because it’s easier to grab a folder than to wait for a computer to start up. The trees outside give some good shade during the hot afternoons, which makes the waiting area feel a bit cooler. We don’t have a big sign with flashing lights, just a simple board that tells you where you are. Most people find us through word of mouth anyway. The staff lives nearby, so they know most of the families who come in. It’s a slow-paced kind of place, but we get the job done without much fuss. There's always a bit of tea or coffee being shared in the back room between shifts.
