Nidhi Farms

At Nidhi Farms, we spend most of our time out in Manalumukku. It is a quiet area mostly, tucked away near the N.A.D. Post Office. We get our mail there and the people are friendly enough. The farm isn't some massive industrial operation. It's just a place where we grow things and try to keep the weeds from taking over. Some days the sun is really beating down on us and we have to take a lot of breaks. Other days, the rain comes down so hard the paths turn to muck. We just wear our old boots and keep moving. There is always something that needs fixing, like a broken gate or a leaky pipe. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy things about us. It's just us workers and the owner hanging around making sure the chores get done. We start early, usually before the rest of the town is really awake. You get used to the sounds of the insects and the way the air smells after a storm. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we even have to come in on Sundays if something goes wrong. That is just the way farming is. You can't really tell the plants to stop growing just because it is a holiday. We just do what needs doing to keep the place together.
