Medicops Society

Medicops Society is located right opposite Bhartiya Vidhya Bhawan in Ernakulam. We operate as a bit of a collective, focusing on health needs within the community. It’s not your typical doctor’s office or a retail store. Instead, it’s a space where we manage different health-related programs and help folks navigate the local system. Being across from the school means we get a lot of foot traffic and it’s a landmark everyone knows. The office isn't very big, and we’ve got desks pushed close together to make room for all the files we have to keep. In Ernakulam, things move pretty fast, but inside our doors, we try to slow down and listen to what people are looking for. We don't have a big budget for decorations, so it’s mostly just functional furniture and a lot of notice boards with information pinned to them. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when several people come in with questions at the same time. We don't use any complicated business jargon here. We just talk like normal people because that’s what we are. The idea is just to be a helpful presence in the neighborhood for anyone who stops by. We’ve been in this spot for a good while, and most people around here know who we are. It’s a steady job, and we appreciate the chance to be part of the local scene in this busy part of town.
