Our workshop is on Infopark Road in the Kusumagiri area of Kakkanad. It’s a busy road with lots of tech workers heading to their offices, but we do more hands-on engineering work. We deal with water systems, pumps, and various mechanical bits. Most of the time, our boots are a bit muddy because we are out at sites or moving heavy equipment around the yard. The office part is just a small room at the front with a table and a few folders. We keep most of our tools in the back. It’s not a polished place; there are pipes leaning against the walls and boxes of fittings everywhere. We work with a lot of local builders and people who need their wells or tanks sorted out. It is physical work and it can be tiring when the weather is hot. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. The team is small, just a few guys who know how to handle a wrench and fix a leak. We’ve been in Kakkanad for a while and have seen the area change a lot with all the new buildings going up. We just keep to our corner and focus on the engineering tasks at hand. It’s a steady job and we take it one day at a time, making sure the equipment is ready for the next call out we get.
