Hpc Group Polyclinic

Our place is at number 39, Punchiri, right opposite the SEPZ in Kakkanad. It is a busy area because of all the offices and people working in Ernakulam. We get a lot of workers coming in during their lunch breaks or right after they finish their shifts. Running a polyclinic involves a lot of moving parts since we have different services all under one roof. The building is not very large, so we have to use the space wisely. Sometimes the waiting room feels a bit cramped when several people arrive at the same time. We have got some basic furniture and a reception desk that has seen better days. The traffic around Kakkanad can be a nightmare, so we often have people calling to say they are running late. We just tell them to come when they can. The staff here is mostly local, and we have been working together for a while now. It is a straightforward environment without any unnecessary extras. We focus on getting through the patient list and making sure the files are updated. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is a relief given the Ernakulam heat. We do not spend much time worrying about how the place looks to outsiders. It is just a place of work where we try to be useful to the people who walk in. It is busy, it is a bit noisy, but it is our daily routine.
