Framatome Connectors Oen is based over in Thykoodam, right in the Vyttila area. If you’ve ever driven through here, you know the traffic near the bridge can be a real headache, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. Our facility is where we handle all the connector work. It’s a lot of sitting at benches and making sure everything is lined up right. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is a blessing in the Kochi humidity. We aren't a massive operation where nobody knows each other; it’s more like a group of neighbors working together. Most of the staff comes from nearby, so there’s always some local talk happening during the lunch breaks. We have these big metal desks that have been here forever, and they’ve seen a lot of work pass over them. The floors are a bit scuffed from moving crates around, but that’s just how it is in a place that actually does things. We don't spend much time worrying about how the front office looks as long as the orders are going out on time. Sometimes we stay late when a big shipment is due, but usually, we try to wrap things up so everyone can get home before the evening rush gets too bad. It’s a practical setup, really. No big speeches or fancy posters on the walls, just the tools we need and enough coffee to keep us going through the afternoon slump.
