Formosa International

Formosa International is tucked away in Thykoodam, right in the Vyttila area of Cochin. If you know Cochin, you know how hectic the traffic can get around here, so we’re always hearing the horns from the main road. Our office and warehouse space is where we handle all our business. We’ve been here for several years now, and the walls are starting to show their age with a bit of faded paint. We do a lot of paperwork and phone calls throughout the day. It’s mostly about coordinating where things need to go and making sure the transport is on time. We have a small crew, and we all wear many hats. One minute I’m on the phone, and the next I’m helping move a crate that was left in the way. It’s not the most glamorous job, but it keeps us busy. We have a small tea stall just around the corner where we usually take our breaks. The rainy season in Cochin can be a real headache for us because the courtyard sometimes floods a little, and we have to move everything to higher ground. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or big goals of changing the world. We just want to get through the week’s orders and make sure the accounts are settled correctly. It’s just us doing what we’ve always done in this part of town.
