Being up in Room No. 501 of the City Scape Building means we see a lot of South Kalamassery from the windows. It’s a busy building and there is always someone coming or going in the hallways. Here at Duecare Herbals, the day usually starts with moving boxes around and checking what came in. The air inside the room usually has a faint smell of dried plants and roots, which is better than the exhaust fumes from the traffic downstairs. South Kalamassery can get really congested during the peak hours, so we hear a lot of horns from the street while we work. It’s not a huge space, but we make it work for what we need. We spend most of our time at the desks or packing things up. Sometimes the lift in the building is slow, so we end up taking the stairs which is a bit of a climb to the fifth floor. It keeps us moving though. Most people find us easily enough once they get to the City Scape Building. It’s a practical place to be located for getting things out to where they need to go. We don't have any big signs or anything, just our door in the corridor. We just focus on getting the herbal orders sorted and making sure the inventory is right. It’s steady work and the views of the city help pass the time when things get repetitive.
