Cherupilly Lane is one of those narrow spots in Kaloor where you have to be careful when you're driving. Our place is at 37 Bar 34, and it’s a pretty low-key setup. Inside, there are a couple of long tables with big monitors and wires running all over the floor. We do a lot of design and media work, so it’s mostly us sitting in front of screens with our headphones on. It’s not a fancy studio with a lobby. It’s more like a room where stuff gets made. We have a lot of half-finished projects on the hard drives and plenty of empty tea cups sitting around. The neighbors in the lane know us as the people who stay late with the lights on. Kaloor is a busy area, but our little lane stays relatively quiet unless someone is backing their car out. Sometimes the rain makes the roof sound really loud, which can be distracting when we’re trying to focus. We don't really have a dress code or anything like that. We just show up, open the laptops, and start working on whatever needs to be finished by the end of the day. It’s a bit messy and the chairs aren't the most comfortable, but it works for what we do. We like being tucked away here instead of in some big glass building where you can't even open a window.
