City Hospital Private Limited

We are located right on MG Road, which is pretty much the main stretch around here. It’s a private limited company, but on the inside, it feels more like a local clinic because we have all been here so long. The traffic on MG Road never really stops, so there is always a background hum of engines while we work. We usually have to shout a bit over the horns during the rush hour, but you get used to it after the first week. Our lobby has some big windows, but they get dusty pretty fast from the road. We have a cleaning person who comes twice a day, but it’s a losing battle with the dust. The chairs are old-fashioned, made of wood and some padding that has gone a bit flat. We have a lot of filing cabinets because we still keep a lot of paper records for the older patients who have been coming to us for decades. The doctors are usually in a hurry, but they always stop for a quick cup of tea in the afternoon. It is a simple setup, really. We don’t have those fancy digital screens or anything, just some handwritten signs and a clock that’s about five minutes fast. Most of the staff live nearby, so we walk or take the bus to get here. It’s a steady kind of job, and we know our way around the neighborhood well. People just know us as the place on the corner of MG Road where they can get seen.
